At Chilli Pinch, our journey began with a simple yet powerful longing — to bring the unforgettable taste of home to every table. Rooted in the rich culinary heritage of South India, our spices are more than just ingredients. They are stories, traditions, and love — captured in every pinch.

We are Praveen and Thushara, a couple united by our passion for cooking and a deep appreciation for bold, authentic flavors. Originally from the vibrant state of Karnataka, India, our roots lie deep in two culturally rich regions — the coastal city of Mangalore and the royal city of Mysore.

Our Story

Praveen was born in Mysore and raised in Bangalore. With over a decade of experience in food manufacturing, he has worked alongside expert chefs and been involved in the production of ready meals. His love for food and the art of spice-making has only deepened during his 14 years of living in the UK.

Thushara grew up in Mangalore, watching authentic recipes come to life in her home kitchen. She vividly remembers the aroma of freshly ground chilli powder, crushed using a traditional stone grinder — a staple in every household recipe.

Together, we draw inspiration from our upbringing, our families’ kitchens, and our shared memories of the bold, vibrant flavors of Karnataka. From Mangalorean fish curries to Mysore masala dosas, the foundation of our food is always the same — spices and chillies, crafted with care and tradition.

Celebrating Karnataka's Spice Heritage

Karnataka’s cuisine is known for its fearless use of chilli, coconut, and spice. At Chilli Pinch, we proudly carry forward this tradition, showcasing iconic regional dishes like: Mangalore Fish Curry & Chicken Ghee Roast from the coast.
